# Ingredients:

→ Main Components

01 - 4 slices white bread
02 - 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
03 - 4 slices ham
04 - 4 slices turkey
05 - 4 slices Swiss cheese

→ Batter

06 - 1 large egg
07 - 1/4 cup milk
08 - salt and pepper, to taste

→ For Cooking and Serving

09 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
10 - powdered sugar, for serving
11 - raspberry jam or strawberry jam, for serving

# Steps:

01 - Spread Dijon mustard over two slices of bread. Layer two slices of ham, two slices of turkey, and two slices of Swiss cheese on each. Top with the remaining slices of bread to assemble two sandwiches.
02 - Whisk together the egg, milk, salt, and pepper in a shallow dish until fully blended.
03 - Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Dip each sandwich in the egg mixture, ensuring both sides and edges are evenly coated. Place in the skillet and cook until evenly golden brown, about 3 to 4 minutes per side.
04 - Cut each sandwich in half. Dust lightly with powdered sugar and serve warm, accompanied by raspberry or strawberry jam.

# Notes:

01 - Use day-old bread for a sturdier sandwich that soaks up the egg mixture without falling apart.
