# Ingredients:

→ Dough

01 - 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, plus extra for dusting
02 - 1 teaspoon baking powder
03 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
04 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
05 - 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
06 - 1/2 cup water, added gradually

→ Filling and Assembly

07 - 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
08 - 1 cup pizza sauce
09 - 1 ounce sliced pepperoni or preferred topping
10 - 1 large egg, beaten (for egg wash)
11 - Olive oil, as needed for brushing

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Combine flour, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning in a mixing bowl. Stir until evenly blended.
03 - Gradually add water to the dry ingredients, mixing until a cohesive dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for several minutes until smooth.
04 - Roll out dough to about 1/4 inch thickness. Use a skull-shaped cookie cutter to cut even numbers of tops and bottoms.
05 - On half of the dough shapes, add a spoonful of pizza sauce, mozzarella, and pepperoni slices, leaving a border for sealing.
06 - Cover each filled shape with a matching dough piece. Press edges together to seal and crimp with a fork if desired.
07 - Lightly brush the tops of each skull with beaten egg.
08 - Transfer assembled skulls to prepared baking sheet. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
09 - Remove from oven and allow to cool for several minutes before serving.

# Notes:

01 - For best results, dust your cookie cutter with flour to prevent sticking. Adjust filling portions to keep edges clean for easy sealing.
