Grilled Pineapple Brown Sugar (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Pineapple

01 - 1 fresh ripe pineapple

→ Marinade

02 - 60 ml unsalted butter, melted
03 - 55 g dark brown sugar
04 - 60 ml dark rum (optional)
05 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
06 - 1 pinch salt

# Instructions:

01 - Trim the top and bottom from the pineapple and remove the outer rind using a sharp knife. Slice the pineapple into 2 cm thick spears or rings. For rings, use a small cutter to remove the core.
02 - In a bowl, whisk together melted butter, dark brown sugar, rum (if using), ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt until fully incorporated.
03 - Place prepared pineapple in a large zip-top bag. Pour the marinade over the fruit and gently toss until evenly coated. Refrigerate for 20-30 minutes to allow flavors to infuse.
04 - Heat grill or grill pan to medium-high (190–200°C). Ensure grill grates are clean and well-oiled to prevent sticking.
05 - Arrange marinated pineapple on the grill. Cook for 4–6 minutes on each side, turning once, and brush with excess marinade during grilling until caramelized and golden.
06 - Transfer grilled pineapple to a platter and serve immediately while warm.

# Notes:

01 - For evenly caramelized results, avoid moving the pineapple too often during grilling.
