Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and lay the bacon on it. Bake for 25 minutes, then transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to absorb extra grease.

Prepare the hash browns as per package instructions. For air fryer: cook at 200°C (400°F) for 15 minutes.

Place the avocado slices on the cooked hash browns. Spread a thin layer of sour cream over them, sprinkle garlic salt, and crumble the cooked bacon on top. Add shredded sharp cheddar cheese, garnish with scallions and red pepper flakes, and serve immediately.
