Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with nonstick spray or butter.

Spread the cooked chicken evenly across the bottom of the prepared dish. Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the chicken.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the self-rising flour and milk until completely smooth. Gently pour this mixture over the chicken and butter without stirring.

In a separate bowl, whisk the chicken broth and condensed cream of chicken soup until fully combined. Slowly pour this mixture over the casserole, again without stirring.

Sprinkle salt and freshly ground black pepper on top to taste.

Place the casserole, uncovered, in the preheated oven. Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbling. Allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
