Tender chicken with fluffy dumplings in a creamy, golden-baked casserole for easy comfort food.

# Ingredients:

→ Main

01 - 3 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
02 - 1 stick (1/2 cup) unsalted butter, melted
03 - 2 cups chicken broth
04 - 1 cup self-rising flour
05 - 1 cup whole milk
06 - 1 can (10.5 ounces) condensed cream of chicken soup
07 - Salt, to taste
08 - Black pepper, freshly ground, to taste

# Steps:

01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with nonstick spray or butter.
02 - Spread the cooked chicken evenly across the bottom of the prepared dish. Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the chicken.
03 - In a medium bowl, whisk together the self-rising flour and milk until completely smooth. Gently pour this mixture over the chicken and butter without stirring.
04 - In a separate bowl, whisk the chicken broth and condensed cream of chicken soup until fully combined. Slowly pour this mixture over the casserole, again without stirring.
05 - Sprinkle salt and freshly ground black pepper on top to taste.
06 - Place the casserole, uncovered, in the preheated oven. Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbling. Allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving.

# Notes:

01 - For best results, avoid stirring after layering each mixture; this creates distinct layers and a tender dumpling texture.
