Cherry Vanilla Iced Latte (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Cherry Vanilla Syrup

01 - 250 g fresh or frozen cherries, pitted
02 - 100 g granulated sugar
03 - 120 ml water
04 - 5 ml vanilla extract

→ Iced Latte

05 - 60 ml espresso or 120 ml strong brewed coffee
06 - 120 ml milk of choice
07 - Ice cubes
08 - Whipped cream (optional)
09 - Fresh cherries for garnish (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - Combine pitted cherries, granulated sugar, and water in a small saucepan. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat, then reduce to a simmer.
02 - Simmer for 10 minutes, occasionally mashing cherries, until fruit has softened and the liquid thickens slightly.
03 - Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract thoroughly.
04 - Strain syrup through a fine mesh sieve, discarding solids. Cool syrup completely before use.
05 - Fill a serving glass with ice cubes for rapid chilling.
06 - Pour 30 ml cherry vanilla syrup over the ice. Add espresso or strong brewed coffee and top with milk of your choice.
07 - Gently stir to blend. Garnish with whipped cream and fresh cherries if desired. Serve immediately.

# Notes:

01 - The homemade cherry vanilla syrup can be prepared in advance and refrigerated for up to one week.
