Banana Split Dump Cake (Print Version)

Layered bananas, pineapple, cake mix, and chocolate chips baked golden. Best served warm with ice cream.

# Ingredients:

→ Fruit Base

01 - 3 ripe bananas, sliced
02 - 1 can (20 ounces) crushed pineapple, drained
03 - 1 can (21 ounces) strawberry pie filling

→ Cake Layer

04 - 1 box yellow cake mix
05 - 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

→ Toppings and Extras

06 - 1 cup chocolate chips
07 - 1/2 cup chopped nuts
08 - 1/2 cup mini marshmallows

→ For Serving

09 - Vanilla ice cream
10 - Whipped cream
11 - Maraschino cherries

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
02 - Arrange sliced bananas evenly in the bottom of the baking dish. Spread drained crushed pineapple over the bananas, then add strawberry pie filling on top. Smooth each layer for even distribution.
03 - Sprinkle dry yellow cake mix evenly across the fruit layers without mixing. Ensure the surface is completely covered.
04 - Slowly drizzle melted unsalted butter over the entire surface of the cake mix, covering as much as possible for an even golden crust.
05 - Sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over the top. Add chopped nuts and mini marshmallows, if using.
06 - Bake uncovered for 40 to 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown, the edges are bubbling, and the center is set. If pockets of dry cake mix remain, lightly drizzle additional melted butter as needed.
07 - Remove from oven and let cool for 10 to 15 minutes before serving. Spoon portions while warm and top with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and a maraschino cherry.

# Notes:

01 - Take care not to stir the cake mix into the fruit layers; leaving it on top creates a crisp, buttery topping.
