Spread 1 tablespoon of butter evenly on one side of each slice of Italian bread.

Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat.

Place one slice of the buttered bread, butter side down, into the preheated skillet. Add 1 slice of mozzarella cheese, then place 1 slice of provolone cheese over the mozzarella.

Layer 2 slices of deli ham and then 2 slices of salami over the cheese.

Spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on one side and 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard on the other side of the remaining slice of bread.

Place the prepared slice of bread, mayonnaise side down, onto the stack of ingredients in the skillet. Press down lightly with a spatula.

Cook for 3 to 4 minutes or until the bottom slice of bread is golden brown and crisp.

Using a spatula, carefully flip the sandwich. Continue cooking for another 3 to 4 minutes until the other side is golden and the cheese has melted.

Transfer the toasted sandwich to a cutting board. Sprinkle the top with 1 teaspoon of dried oregano and 1 teaspoon of garlic powder. Slice in half diagonally and serve hot.
