# Ingredients:

→ Cheese Mixture

01 - 16 ounces pepper jack cheese, shredded
02 - 2 to 3 jalapeños, finely diced

→ Breading Station

03 - 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
04 - 1 large egg
05 - 1 cup whole milk
06 - 1 1/2 cups plain bread crumbs
07 - 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
08 - 1 teaspoon paprika
09 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
10 - Vegetable oil, for deep frying

# Steps:

01 - In a medium bowl, thoroughly mix shredded pepper jack cheese with diced jalapeños until evenly combined.
02 - Form the cheese and jalapeño mixture into compact balls measuring approximately 1 1/2 inches in diameter, pressing tightly to secure the shape.
03 - Arrange the cheese balls onto a cookie sheet and transfer to the freezer for 30 minutes to firm up.
04 - Meanwhile, heat the deep fryer to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).
05 - Prepare three bowls: one with flour, one with the egg beaten together with milk, and one with bread crumbs mixed with cayenne pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
06 - Working one at a time, dredge each chilled cheese ball in flour, then dip into the egg and milk mixture, and finally coat with the seasoned bread crumbs, ensuring an even layer.
07 - Fry the coated cheese balls in batches for 3 to 4 minutes, or until uniformly golden brown.
08 - Remove the fried bites using a slotted spoon, drain on paper towels, and serve immediately with preferred dipping sauces.

# Notes:

01 - Freezing the cheese balls prior to frying helps prevent them from melting and losing their shape during cooking.
