Taco Frachos Mexican Fries (Print Version)

Crispy fries, taco beef, melted cheese, fresh herbs, all oven-baked for delicious sharing.

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 tablespoon canola oil
02 - 1 pound ground beef
03 - 2 tablespoons chili powder
04 - 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
05 - 1 teaspoon onion powder
06 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
07 - 1 teaspoon ground cumin
08 - 1 teaspoon ground coriander
09 - 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
10 - Salt and black pepper to taste

→ Cheese and Garnishes

11 - 2 cups shredded Mexican cheese blend
12 - 1/4 cup crumbled cotija cheese
13 - Chopped fresh cilantro

→ Base

14 - 4 cups cooked French fries

# Steps:

01 - Set oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
02 - Heat canola oil in a large skillet over medium-high. Add ground beef, chili powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, cumin, coriander, and cayenne. Cook until beef is thoroughly browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
03 - In a large oven-safe dish, place half of the French fries. Sprinkle with half of the shredded Mexican cheese and layer with half of the seasoned ground beef.
04 - Top with the remaining French fries, followed by the remaining shredded Mexican cheese and ground beef.
05 - Bake in the preheated oven for 5 to 10 minutes or until the cheese is fully melted.
06 - Remove from oven. Allow to cool for five minutes. Garnish with crumbled cotija cheese, chopped cilantro, and hot sauce if desired. Serve immediately.

01 - For extra crispiness, bake the French fries separately before layering.
