Sweet Chili Halloumi Wraps (Print Version)

Crispy halloumi with sweet chili and fresh veggies, all wrapped for a vibrant, easy lunch or dinner.

# Ingredients:

→ Main

01 - 8 ounces halloumi cheese, sliced 1/2 inch thick
02 - 2 to 4 flour tortillas or gluten-free wraps
03 - 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
04 - 1 cucumber, julienned
05 - 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
06 - 1 to 2 lettuce leaves, torn
07 - 3 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
08 - 1 tablespoon olive oil

→ Optional toppings

09 - Sliced avocado
10 - Fresh cilantro or parsley leaves
11 - Pickled vegetables

# Steps:

01 - Pat halloumi dry and slice into 1/2-inch slabs. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add olive oil. Fry halloumi slices for 2 to 3 minutes per side until golden and crisp. Remove from heat and set aside.
02 - Slice red bell pepper and red onion thinly. Julienne cucumber and tear lettuce leaves into bite-size pieces. Keep vegetables chilled to maintain freshness.
03 - Spread 3 tablespoons sweet chili sauce evenly onto each wrap. Layer fried halloumi, followed by prepared bell pepper, cucumber, red onion, and lettuce. Add optional toppings such as avocado, fresh herbs, or pickled vegetables as desired.
04 - Fold the bottom edge of each wrap over the filling, then roll or fold in the sides to create a burrito-style wrap. For extra crispness and warmth, lightly toast assembled wraps in a skillet or oven before serving.

# Notes:

01 - For best results, serve wraps immediately to preserve the halloumi's crisp texture and the vegetables' freshness.
