→ For Frying and Assembly

10 - Nonstick cooking spray (such as coconut oil spray)
11 - Melted butter, for brushing (optional)

# Steps:

01 - In a saucepan over high heat, combine water, unsalted butter, salt, and granulated sugar. Bring to a rolling boil, then reduce the heat.
02 - Gradually add the all-purpose flour to the hot liquid, stirring constantly until a smooth, cohesive dough forms. Remove from heat.
03 - Transfer the dough to a large mixing bowl and allow it to cool for 4 to 5 minutes. Add the large egg and vanilla extract, then beat with an electric mixer until the mixture is smooth and evenly combined.
04 - Spoon the dough into a piping bag. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F. Lightly coat the air fryer basket with nonstick cooking spray. Pipe bite-sized churro portions into the basket, ensuring they do not touch. Alternatively, use a spoon for portioning.
05 - Lightly brush churros with melted butter if desired. Cook churro bites in the preheated air fryer for 10 to 12 minutes or until deep golden brown and crisp, working in batches as needed.
06 - In a shallow bowl, blend granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. While churros are still warm, transfer them into the mixture and toss to coat thoroughly. For enhanced coating, lightly brush or spray churros with butter or water before rolling.
07 - Arrange churro bites on a platter and serve warm with your preferred dipping sauces such as chocolate syrup, honey, or hazelnut spread.

# Notes:

01 - Allowing the dough to cool before adding the egg prevents scrambling and ensures a smooth texture.
02 - For crispier churro bites, brush lightly with melted butter prior to air frying.
