Strawberries and Cream Puffs (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Pastry & Fillings

01 - 1 ready to roll puff pastry sheet
02 - 1-2 cups of heavy/double cream
03 - 3-5 tablespoons of sugar
04 - 1 cup of fresh strawberries, sliced
05 - Icing sugar for dusting

→ Egg Wash

06 - 1 egg
07 - 1 tablespoon of water

# Instructions:

01 - Heat your oven to 400°F (200°C/Gas 6) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
02 - Take the puff pastry from the fridge and let it rest a few minutes before unrolling to prevent breaking.
03 - Cut the pastry into equal squares and fold each diagonally to make triangles. Place them on your lined tray with space between for expansion.
04 - Mix an egg with a tablespoon of water in a small bowl and brush this over the pastry triangles.
05 - Pop the tray in your preheated oven and bake for about 20 minutes until golden and puffed up.
06 - While they bake, whip the cream with sugar until it forms stiff peaks. Put the whipped cream in a piping bag with a nozzle and set aside.
07 - Remove stems from the strawberries and slice them into thin pieces.
08 - Once the pastries are cooled, slice each one open, pipe in plenty of whipped cream, add strawberry slices on top, and gently close.
09 - Dust your finished pastries with icing sugar and serve these beautiful treats at your special occasion.

# Notes:

01 - Rest your pastry for about five minutes before unrolling to prevent cracking.
02 - You can cut the dough into squares or rectangles for a different presentation.
03 - Let the pastries cool completely before adding the filling to prevent the cream from melting.
