# Ingredients:

07 - Three to four ripe bananas, sliced
08 - Two and one-half cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced

# Steps:

01 - In a large bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix with cold whole milk for about two minutes until thick and smooth. Refrigerate to set while other layers are prepared.
02 - Beat softened cream cheese with a mixer until completely smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated and creamy. In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream to stiff peaks, then gently fold into the cream cheese mixture to achieve a light, airy consistency.
03 - Slice ripe bananas just before assembling. If necessary, lightly toss with lemon juice. Wash, hull, and slice strawberries evenly and pat dry with paper towels.
04 - In a large glass trifle dish or 9 by 13 inch serving dish, arrange a single layer of vanilla wafers or graham crackers on the bottom. Top with sliced bananas, then spoon over a layer of vanilla pudding. Add sliced strawberries, followed by a generous layer of the cream cheese filling. Repeat the layers until all components are used, finishing with the cream cheese mixture on top.
05 - Cover tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least four hours, preferably overnight, to allow the wafers to soften and flavors to blend. Garnish with whipped cream, crushed wafers, and fresh fruit before serving, if desired.
