Steak Grilled Cheese Garlic Bread (Print Version)

Golden garlic bread pairs with tender steak and cheddar for a comforting grilled cheese sandwich.

# Ingredients:

→ Meat

01 - 2 steaks, such as ribeye or flank

→ Bread

02 - 4 slices sandwich bread

→ Dairy

03 - 4 slices cheddar cheese

→ Condiments and Seasoning

04 - 2 tablespoons garlic butter
05 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
06 - 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
07 - 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
08 - Salt to taste
09 - Ground black pepper to taste

→ Garnish

10 - Chopped fresh parsley (optional)

# Steps:

01 - Pat steaks dry and season all sides with salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard. Allow steaks to rest at room temperature for a few minutes.
02 - Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steaks for 3 to 4 minutes on each side for medium rare, adjusting time as needed for preferred doneness.
03 - While steaks are cooking, evenly spread garlic butter on one side of each bread slice.
04 - Place bread slices, buttered side down, in a separate skillet over medium heat. Toast until golden and crisp.
05 - Transfer cooked steaks to a cutting board and rest for five minutes. Slice thinly across the grain.
06 - Layer one slice of cheddar cheese on toasted garlic bread, add sliced steak, top with another slice of cheese, and cover with second bread slice.
07 - Return assembled sandwiches to skillet, pressing gently. Cook until cheddar melts and bread is crisp on both sides.
08 - Slice each sandwich and garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Serve immediately.

# Notes:

01 - Letting steaks rest after cooking maintains juiciness and facilitates easier slicing.
