Spicy Jalapeno Popper Twists (Print Version)

Buttery twists filled with spicy jalapeno, cheddar, cream cheese and baked golden for crowd-pleasing bites.

# Ingredients:

→ Dough

01 - 1 package puff pastry or pizza dough

→ Filling

02 - 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
03 - 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
04 - 2 medium jalapenos, sliced
05 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder

→ Finish

06 - 1 large egg, beaten

# Steps:

01 - Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - In a mixing bowl, blend the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, sliced jalapenos, and garlic powder until the mixture is smooth.
03 - On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry to a thickness of 1/4 inch and cut into strips approximately 2 inches wide.
04 - Spoon the filling onto one half of each pastry strip, fold over, seal the edges, and twist to create a spiral shape.
05 - Place the filled twists onto the prepared baking sheet and brush with the beaten egg for a glossy, golden finish.
06 - Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes until the twists are puffed and golden brown.

# Notes:

01 - For extra heat, substitute fresh jalapenos with pickled or add a pinch of crushed red pepper.
