# Ingredients:

→ Topping

01 - 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
02 - 1/2 cup self-rising flour
03 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
04 - 1 cup old-fashioned oats, uncooked
05 - 1/2 cup pecans, chopped

→ Filling

06 - 1 cup self-rising flour
07 - 1 cup granulated sugar
08 - 1 cup whole milk
09 - 2 teaspoons banana extract (optional)
10 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
11 - 4 ripe bananas, sliced

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 375°F. Generously grease a 2-quart or 9x9-inch baking dish.
02 - In a bowl, blend together the packed brown sugar, self-rising flour, and softened butter using a fork until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in the oats and chopped pecans until evenly incorporated. Set aside.
03 - In a separate bowl, whisk self-rising flour, granulated sugar, and milk just until smooth. Blend in the melted butter and banana extract, if using.
04 - Pour batter evenly into the prepared baking dish. Arrange sliced bananas in an even layer over the batter.
05 - Distribute the streusel topping evenly over the bananas, covering the surface completely.
06 - Bake in the preheated oven for 45 to 50 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the filling is set.
07 - Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving warm. Garnish with vanilla ice cream or additional banana slices if desired.

# Notes:

01 - For best texture, use ripe but firm bananas. The dessert can be made a few hours ahead and reheated before serving.
