Smoky Lemon Garlic Grilled Oysters (Print Version)

Grilled oysters with smoky paprika, garlic butter, and bright lemon for bold, vibrant flavor in every bite.

# Ingredients:

→ Shellfish

01 - 12 fresh oysters, cleaned and kept in the half shell

→ Butter Mixture

02 - 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
03 - 3 garlic cloves, finely minced
04 - 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
05 - Zest of 1 lemon
06 - 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
07 - 1 to 2 teaspoons hot sauce, optional

→ Garnish

08 - Fresh parsley, chopped
09 - Lemon wedges, for serving

# Steps:

01 - Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. For enhanced smokiness, allow charcoal to turn white-hot before cooking.
02 - Combine melted unsalted butter, minced garlic, smoked paprika, lemon zest, lemon juice, and hot sauce in a small bowl. Mix thoroughly until well blended.
03 - Place cleaned and shucked oysters on a grill-safe tray, or set directly on the preheated grill, keeping each oyster in its half shell.
04 - Evenly spoon garlic butter mixture over each oyster in the half shell.
05 - Grill oysters for 5 to 7 minutes or until they are plump and slightly firm. Monitor closely to avoid overcooking.
06 - Sprinkle grilled oysters with chopped fresh parsley. Serve immediately with extra lemon wedges on the side.

# Notes:

01 - Oysters cook quickly on the grill; avoid overcooking to maintain tender texture.
02 - For best results, grill oysters over charcoal for a subtle smoky flavor.
