Smoked Sausage Cheesy Potato (Print Version)

01 - 1 package (26 oz) frozen shredded hash browns
02 - 1 cup sour cream
03 - 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
04 - 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
05 - 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
06 - 1 teaspoon salt, optional
07 - 1 pound smoked sausage, sliced

# Steps:

01 - Place the shredded hash browns into a large mixing bowl.
02 - Spread sour cream and condensed cream of mushroom soup over the hash browns. Sprinkle with salt and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until fully combined.
03 - Fold in 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese and mix well to evenly distribute.
04 - Spread the combined mixture evenly into the base of a lightly greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
05 - Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 35 minutes.
06 - Remove from oven, scatter the remaining 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese and evenly layer the sliced smoked sausage on top.
07 - Return to the oven and bake for an additional 15 to 20 minutes, or until the casserole is thoroughly heated and the cheese has fully melted.
