Slow Cooker Salsa Chicken (Print Version)

Chicken slow-cooked with salsa and spices, ideal for tacos, rice bowls, or fresh salads.

01 - 3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
02 - 1 teaspoon chili powder
03 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
04 - 1 teaspoon ground cumin
05 - 1 teaspoon onion powder
06 - 1 jar (15.5 ounces) salsa

# Steps:

01 - Place the chicken breasts evenly in the base of the slow cooker.
02 - Sprinkle chili powder, garlic powder, ground cumin, and onion powder evenly over the chicken breasts.
03 - Pour the salsa over the chicken ensuring all pieces are fully covered.
04 - Cover and cook on high for 3 to 4 hours or on low for 6 to 8 hours, until the chicken is fork-tender and thoroughly cooked.
05 - Carefully remove the cooked chicken and shred with two forks. Return shredded chicken to the slow cooker and stir to fully coat with salsa mixture.
06 - Serve hot as a main dish, or use for tacos, burritos, rice bowls, or salads.

01 - For added flavor, use fire-roasted salsa or mix in freshly chopped cilantro after cooking.
