Cut each sandwich into four equal squares. Lightly brush the top of each square with water, then press the moistened side into sesame seeds for an even coating.

Heat approximately 1 inch of vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Arrange squares sesame seed side down and fry for about 2 minutes per side, turning until uniformly golden and crisp. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
