Sausage Cream Cheese Crescents (Print Version)

Flaky crescents filled with sausage and cream cheese are delicious for breakfast or snacking.

# Ingredients:

→ Dough

01 - 2 cans (8 ounces each) refrigerated crescent roll dough

→ Filling

02 - 1 pound ground sausage, cooked and crumbled
03 - 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened

→ Cheese Topping

04 - 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

# Steps:

01 - In a large skillet over medium heat, cook and crumble the ground sausage until thoroughly browned. Drain excess fat and transfer sausage to a mixing bowl. Add softened cream cheese and mix until evenly blended.
02 - Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy removal.
03 - Separate crescent roll dough into triangles. Place a heaping spoonful of sausage-cream cheese filling at the wide end of each triangle.
04 - Roll each triangle up from the wide end, securing the filling inside. Arrange filled crescents on the prepared baking sheet with enough space between each piece.
05 - Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top of each crescent for enhanced flavor, if desired.
06 - Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes, or until crescents are golden brown.
07 - Allow crescents to cool for several minutes before serving. Serve warm as a snack, appetizer, or breakfast item.

# Notes:

01 - For best results, ensure the cream cheese is at room temperature before mixing with the sausage for a smooth, even filling.
