# Ingredients:

→ Base Syrup

01 - 1/3 cup canned pumpkin puree
02 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar
03 - 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
04 - 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
05 - 1 1/4 cups water

# Steps:

01 - In a medium saucepan, blend pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, pumpkin pie spice, ground cinnamon, and water until fully incorporated.
02 - Place the saucepan over medium-high heat and bring the mixture to a gentle boil, stirring frequently.
03 - Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking and to ensure even cooking.
04 - Continue heating until the syrup thickens slightly and can coat the back of a spoon.
05 - Remove the saucepan from the heat and allow the syrup to cool slightly. Pour into a clean mason jar or sealable container.
06 - Seal the container once the syrup is completely cooled and refrigerate.
07 - Incorporate into iced pumpkin spice lattes, drizzle over pancakes or waffles, or use in fall-inspired beverages and desserts.

# Notes:

01 - For a smoother texture, strain the syrup through a fine-mesh sieve before bottling.
