Pizza Panini Mozzarella Pepperoni (Print Version)

Crispy panini filled with mozzarella, pepperoni, and zesty sauce for a satisfying Italian-style bite.

# Ingredients:

→ Bread

01 - 4 thick slices hearty bread or 1 loaf ciabatta (12 to 14 ounces)

→ Sauce

02 - 1/2 cup pizza sauce or marinara sauce

→ Dairy

03 - 4 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced

→ Meat

04 - 3 to 4 ounces pepperoni slices

→ Oils

05 - Olive oil spray

# Steps:

01 - Preheat a panini press, George Foreman grill, or grill pan over medium heat.
02 - Slice bread thickly or hollow out some of the ciabatta crumb if desired. Spread pizza sauce evenly over the cut sides.
03 - Layer mozzarella slices and pepperoni onto the bottom halves of the bread, then top with remaining bread.
04 - Lightly spray the exterior crust with olive oil spray.
05 - Place assembled sandwich onto the preheated press or grill. For a grill pan, set a heavy skillet on top to press. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes per side until bread is golden and cheese is melted.
06 - Remove from heat and allow to cool for 1 to 2 minutes before slicing and serving.

# Notes:

01 - For a crispier texture, avoid overfilling and press each panini firmly.
