Pineapple Glazed Ham Brown Sugar (Print Version)

Ham roasted with pineapple glaze, brown sugar, and honey for a flavorful holiday centerpiece.

# Ingredients:

→ Main

01 - 1 fully cooked bone-in ham (8–10 pounds)

→ Glaze

02 - 1 cup packed brown sugar
03 - 1/2 cup honey
04 - 1/2 cup pineapple juice
05 - 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
06 - 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

→ Toppings and Garnish

07 - Pineapple rings, canned or fresh
08 - Maraschino cherries (optional)
09 - Fresh rosemary sprigs, for garnish

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C). Place the ham, cut side down, in a roasting pan. Score the surface in a diamond crosshatch pattern.
02 - Combine the brown sugar, honey, pineapple juice, Dijon mustard, and ground cloves in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the glaze has thickened slightly.
03 - Brush half of the prepared glaze evenly over the surface of the ham. Cover the ham loosely with aluminum foil.
04 - Roast the ham in the preheated oven for 1 1/2 hours, basting with the remaining glaze every 30 minutes.
05 - During the final 30 minutes, remove the foil and arrange the pineapple rings and maraschino cherries on the ham. Baste generously with glaze and return the ham to the oven uncovered. Allow to caramelize until golden.
06 - Remove the ham from the oven and let it rest for 15 minutes before carving. Garnish with fresh rosemary sprigs and serve warm.

# Notes:

01 - To prevent the ham from drying out, periodically baste with pan juices. Scoring the surface allows the glaze to deeply flavor the meat.
