Monte Cristo Hawaiian Sliders (Print Version)

Sweet rolls filled with ham, turkey, Gruyère, and a tangy sauce, dusted with powdered sugar.

# Ingredients:

→ Sliders

01 - 12 sweet Hawaiian dinner rolls
02 - 8 ounces deli-sliced ham
03 - 8 ounces deli-sliced turkey
04 - 8 ounces Gruyère cheese, grated

→ Sauce

05 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
06 - 1 large egg, beaten
07 - 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
08 - 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
09 - 2 tablespoons mayonnaise

→ Garnish

10 - Powdered sugar, for dusting
11 - Raspberry preserves, for serving

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 325°F. Line a 9 x 13 inch baking dish with parchment or foil and lightly grease the surface.
02 - Keeping the dinner rolls connected, carefully slice them horizontally in half. Arrange the bottom half evenly in the prepared baking dish.
03 - Evenly layer the sliced ham, turkey, and grated Gruyère cheese over the rolls.
04 - In a mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter, beaten egg, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, and mayonnaise until fully incorporated.
05 - Pour half of the prepared sauce evenly over the meat and cheese layers.
06 - Cover with the top half of the dinner rolls and press down gently. Brush or pour the remaining sauce evenly over the surface of the rolls.
07 - Bake uncovered for 25 to 30 minutes, covering loosely with foil if the tops brown too quickly.
08 - Remove from the oven and allow to rest for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing.
09 - Cut into individual sliders. Lightly dust with powdered sugar and serve warm with raspberry preserves on the side.

# Notes:

01 - For a crispier top, uncover the sliders in the last 5 minutes of baking. Serve immediately for the best texture and flavor.
