Miso Butter Roasted Cabbage (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 3 tablespoons butter, divided
02 - 1 tablespoon miso paste
03 - 1 sweetheart cabbage (also known as hispi or pointed cabbage), cut into 4 wedges
04 - 1/4 cup Panko breadcrumbs
05 - 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
06 - 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Cut your sweetheart cabbage into four equal wedges.
02 - In a small bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of softened butter with the miso paste. Brush this flavorful mixture all over the cabbage wedges, making sure to coat all surfaces including the base.
03 - Place the prepared cabbage wedges on a baking sheet and roast in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, until they're beautifully charred on the outside while maintaining a slight crispiness.
04 - While the cabbage roasts, melt the remaining tablespoon of butter in a pan. Add the Panko breadcrumbs and garlic powder, then toast while stirring constantly until golden brown. Remove from heat immediately to prevent burning.
05 - Once the cabbage is done, sprinkle the golden breadcrumbs over the wedges. If desired, garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.

# Notes:

01 - This recipe puts an Asian fusion twist on roasted cabbage, combining the umami-rich flavor of miso with buttery breadcrumbs for a delicious side dish.
