Mini Air Fryer Blooming Onions (Print Version)

Crispy mini onions seasoned and air-fried, perfect for dipping and sharing.

# Ingredients:

→ Vegetables

01 - 2 small onions

→ Dry Ingredients

02 - 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
03 - 1 teaspoon paprika
04 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
05 - 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
06 - Salt to taste
07 - Black pepper to taste

→ Wet Ingredients

08 - 1 large egg
09 - 1/4 cup milk

→ Other

10 - Cooking spray or oil for misting
11 - Ranch dressing or preferred dipping sauce

# Steps:

01 - Peel the onions, trimming the root slightly while keeping the base intact. Slice each onion into 8 sections without cutting through the base, then gently separate the petals.
02 - Combine flour, paprika, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper in a medium bowl.
03 - In a separate bowl, whisk the egg with milk thoroughly. Dip each prepared onion in the egg mixture, ensuring the coating reaches between all petals. Transfer onion to the seasoned flour, tossing gently to coat each petal evenly.
04 - Preheat air fryer to 350°F. Place the coated onions in the air fryer basket. Spray lightly with cooking spray. Air fry for 10 to 12 minutes, turning onions halfway through, until golden and crisp.
05 - Carefully remove blooming onions from the air fryer and serve at once with ranch or your favorite dipping sauce.
