Meat Lover's Tortellini Skillet (Print Version)

Hearty skillet tortellini featuring sausage, bacon, pepperoni and melty mozzarella in zesty marinara.

# Ingredients:

→ Meats

01 - 3 strips thick-cut bacon
02 - 230 grams andouille sausage, diced or 340 grams ground Italian sausage
03 - 12 slices pizza pepperoni

→ Pasta & Sauce

04 - 680 grams marinara sauce
05 - 80 milliliters water
06 - 370 grams fresh cheese-filled tortellini
07 - 225 grams mozzarella cheese, shredded

# Instructions:

01 - Cook bacon strips in an oven-safe skillet over medium heat until crispy. Transfer bacon to paper towels and reserve 2 tablespoons of rendered fat in the skillet.
02 - Add diced andouille sausage or ground Italian sausage to the reserved bacon fat. Sauté over medium heat until browned and cooked through.
03 - Introduce marinara sauce, water, and fresh cheese tortellini to the pan. Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 7 to 10 minutes until tortellini becomes tender.
04 - Sprinkle shredded mozzarella evenly over the skillet, arrange pizza pepperoni and crumble cooked bacon on top. Cover skillet and heat for an additional 3 to 5 minutes until cheese is fully melted. For extra browning, broil uncovered for 2 minutes if desired.
