Maple Sweet Potatoes with Pecans (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 3 pounds sweet potatoes, peeled and diced into 3/4-inch cubes

→ Glaze

02 - 2 tablespoons butter
03 - 1/4 cup brown sugar
04 - 1/4 cup maple syrup
05 - 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
06 - 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
07 - 1/4 teaspoon salt

→ Topping

08 - 1/2 cup pecans, roughly chopped

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 400°F (205°C). Peel and dice the sweet potatoes into 3/4-inch cubes. Place the sweet potato cubes in a large casserole dish (11x15-inch or 5-quart).
02 - Combine the butter, brown sugar, maple syrup, cinnamon, cloves, and salt in a small bowl. Microwave for about 30 seconds, or until the butter is melted, then stir until thoroughly combined. Pour the butter mixture over the sweet potatoes in the casserole dish, and stir to evenly coat.
03 - Transfer the casserole dish to the preheated oven and roast for 20 minutes.
04 - Remove the dish from the oven, add the chopped pecans and stir thoroughly. Return to the oven and continue roasting for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the sweet potatoes are very tender and the liquid has reduced to a sticky glaze coating. Serve hot.

# Notes:

01 - For best results, arrange sweet potatoes in a single layer to ensure even caramelization.
