02 - 4 slices bacon, chopped

→ Oils and Seasonings

03 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
04 - Salt, to taste
05 - Ground black pepper, to taste

→ Sauce

06 - 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
07 - 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
08 - 1/2 cup heavy cream
09 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
10 - 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves or 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme

→ Garnish

11 - 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

# Steps:

01 - Set oven to 400°F (200°C) and allow to preheat fully.
02 - In a large skillet over medium heat, cook chopped bacon until crispy. Remove bacon from skillet and reserve on a plate, leaving drippings in the skillet.
03 - Pat pork chops dry and season both sides generously with salt and ground black pepper. Add olive oil to the skillet if needed, then sear pork chops for 4 to 5 minutes per side until golden brown.
04 - Arrange seared pork chops in a single layer in a baking dish. Distribute crispy bacon evenly over the chops.
05 - In a small bowl, whisk together maple syrup, Dijon mustard, heavy cream, garlic powder, and thyme. Pour the sauce evenly over pork chops.
06 - Place baking dish in preheated oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until pork chops reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
07 - Remove from oven and let pork chops rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

# Notes:

01 - For best results, pat pork chops dry prior to seasoning to improve browning during searing.
