Lazy Man's Pie Peach Cobbler (Print Version)

Effortless peach cobbler with buttery batter, sweet fruit, and golden crust. Perfectly simple and heartwarming.

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter or margarine (1 stick)

→ Batter

02 - 1 cup whole milk
03 - 1 cup granulated sugar
04 - 1 cup all-purpose flour
05 - 1 teaspoon baking powder
06 - Pinch of salt

→ Fruit Layer

07 - 1 quart sweetened sliced peaches, cherries, or blackberries

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the butter or margarine in a 9x13-inch baking pan and set it in the oven to melt completely.
02 - In a medium bowl, combine all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk thoroughly to blend.
03 - Slowly pour in the milk while stirring, creating a smooth and uniform batter.
04 - Pour the batter evenly over the melted butter in the baking pan without mixing. Gently spoon the sweetened fruit along the surface of the batter, avoiding stirring the layers.
05 - Transfer the pan to the oven and bake for 1 hour, or until the surface is golden brown and bubbling throughout.
06 - Allow the cobbler to cool for a few minutes. Serve warm, optionally topped with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.

# Notes:

01 - For best results, ensure the fruit is well-drained if using canned or thawed frozen fruit to avoid excess liquid in the cobbler.
