01 -
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and arrange frozen breaded chicken patties on a baking sheet.
02 -
Bake chicken patties until heated through and crispy, approximately 20 minutes. Slice each patty in half lengthwise after baking.
03 -
Spread garlic butter evenly over one side of each Italian bread slice.
04 -
Combine the marinara sauce, dried basil, and pinch of garlic salt in a microwave-safe bowl. Warm mixture in microwave for 30 seconds to 1 minute, then stir until evenly blended.
05 -
Place one bread slice butter-side down in a skillet. Layer 2 provolone slices, about 1 tablespoon marinara sauce, 2 halved chicken patties overlapping to cover bread, 2 tablespoons marinara sauce, and 1 more provolone slice on top. Cap with another bread slice, butter-side up.
06 -
Cook sandwich over medium heat in skillet until bread is golden and crisp and cheese has melted, 2 to 3 minutes per side.
07 -
Repeat assembly and grilling process with remaining ingredients for second sandwich.
08 -
Sprinkle shredded Parmesan over extra warmed marinara sauce and serve alongside each sandwich for dipping.
