Place bacon slices in a large skillet over medium-high heat and cook, turning occasionally, until evenly browned and crisp, about 10 minutes. Transfer bacon to paper towels to drain and crumble into pieces; set aside.

Add chopped green onions to the bacon drippings in the skillet. Sauté, stirring constantly, until onions are softened to your preference, about 1 minute.

Arrange torn lettuce pieces in a large serving bowl. Pour the hot sautéed onions and bacon grease over the lettuce and toss lightly to coat.
