Spicy chicken, jalapeños, and creamy cheese wrapped in golden tortillas, perfect for sharing.

# Ingredients:

→ Filling

01 - 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (approximately 1 pound)
02 - 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
03 - 2 fresh jalapeños, finely diced
04 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
05 - 1 teaspoon onion powder
06 - 1 teaspoon ground cumin
07 - 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

→ Taquito Shell

08 - 8 medium flour tortillas

→ Cooking

09 - 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

# Steps:

01 - Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add chicken breasts and cook for approximately 6 to 8 minutes per side until fully cooked through and juices run clear. Remove from pan and shred the chicken while still warm.
02 - In a large mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, softened cream cheese, diced jalapeños, garlic powder, onion powder, ground cumin, and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix thoroughly until the ingredients are evenly incorporated.
03 - Gently warm the flour tortillas in the microwave or on a skillet until they become pliable and easy to roll without breaking.
04 - Spoon an even amount of chicken-jalapeño filling onto each tortilla. Roll tortillas tightly around the filling to form taquitos.
05 - Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Place taquitos seam side down and fry each taquito for 2 to 3 minutes per side until golden brown and crisp.
06 - Remove taquitos from skillet and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil. Serve hot with your choice of dipping sauce.

# Notes:

01 - Adjust the amount of jalapeños based on your desired spice level. For a milder filling, remove seeds and membranes before dicing.
