Jalapeno Popper Cheesy Twists (Print Version)

Crispy puff pastry wraps spicy jalapenos and rich cheese in delicious golden twists.

# Ingredients:

→ Dough

01 - 1 package puff pastry

→ Filling

02 - 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
03 - 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
04 - 2 medium jalapenos, thinly sliced
05 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder

→ Finish

06 - 1 large egg, beaten

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - In a bowl, blend softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, sliced jalapenos, and garlic powder until smooth.
03 - Roll out puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to a 1/4 inch thickness. Cut into strips about 2 inches wide.
04 - Place a spoonful of filling on one half of each pastry strip. Fold pastry over, seal edges, then twist each strip into a spiral.
05 - Arrange twists on the lined sheet and brush each with the beaten egg. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden.

01 - For even browning, rotate the baking sheet halfway through the cooking time.
