Honey Vanilla Banana Bread (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 3 medium or 2 large bananas (about 1 1/2 cups)
02 - ⅓ cup unsalted butter, melted
03 - ½ cup honey
04 - 2 eggs
05 - ¼ cup milk
06 - 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract or paste
07 - 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
08 - 1 teaspoon baking soda
09 - ½ teaspoon salt

→ Optional Additions

10 - Crushed nuts
11 - Chocolate chips
12 - Peanut butter glaze or frosting
13 - Additional banana for topping

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C) and grease an 8½ x 4½ inch loaf pan.
02 - In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter and honey until combined. Add eggs, mashed banana, milk, and vanilla extract, whisking until well incorporated.
03 - In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and salt.
04 - Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix just until combined, being careful not to overmix.
05 - Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. If desired, add toppings such as nuts, chocolate chips, or sliced banana (cut side up) on top of the batter.
06 - Bake for 50-55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
07 - Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing.
