In a large mixing bowl, beat unsalted butter and creamy peanut butter with an electric mixer on medium speed for about 1 minute until smooth and light.

Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract to the mixture. Blend on low speed, stopping to scrape down the bowl, and continue mixing until fully incorporated.

If the mixture appears too thick, add milk or heavy cream one tablespoon at a time and mix again until desired creamy consistency is achieved.

Spread or pipe onto baked goods such as cakes, cupcakes, brownies, or cookies. Serve immediately or refrigerate as needed.
