Homemade BBQ Sauce (Print Version)

Rich, tangy blend of ketchup, vinegar, brown sugar, and spices. Perfect for grilling or dipping.

# Ingredients:

→ Sauce Base

01 - 1 1/2 cups tomato ketchup
02 - 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
03 - 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
04 - 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
05 - 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
06 - 1 tablespoon paprika
07 - 2 teaspoons onion powder
08 - 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
09 - 4 cloves garlic, minced
10 - 1/2 cup water

# Steps:

01 - Add ketchup, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, yellow mustard, paprika, onion powder, black pepper, minced garlic, and water to a medium saucepan.
02 - Stir mixture and bring to a gentle boil over medium heat while stirring occasionally.
03 - Reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered for 30 minutes, stirring frequently, until the sauce is thickened.
04 - Taste and adjust sugar or seasonings as desired.
05 - Remove saucepan from heat and allow sauce to cool completely to room temperature.
06 - Transfer to a clean jar or airtight container, cover, and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
07 - For optimal depth of flavor, allow the sauce to rest in the refrigerator for 1 hour before using.
