# Ingredients:

→ Casserole Base

01 - 6 to 8 large croissants, cut into 1-inch cubes
02 - 12 ounces deli ham, cubed or torn into bite-sized pieces
03 - 8 ounces shredded Swiss cheese or Gruyère

→ Egg Custard

04 - 8 large eggs
05 - 1/2 cup half-and-half or whole milk
06 - 1 teaspoon kosher salt
07 - 1 teaspoon mustard powder
08 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
09 - 1/4 teaspoon ground white or black pepper
10 - 1/3 cup pure maple syrup

→ Toppings (optional)

11 - Powdered sugar, for dusting
12 - Raspberry jam or extra maple syrup, for serving

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 350 °F. Lightly grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
02 - Arrange cubed croissants, ham, and shredded cheese evenly in the prepared dish. Mix gently to distribute ingredients.
03 - In a separate bowl, whisk eggs, half-and-half or milk, salt, mustard powder, garlic powder, pepper, and maple syrup until well combined.
04 - Pour the custard mixture over the croissant base, ensuring even coverage. Allow to soak for at least 20 minutes, or cover and refrigerate overnight for enhanced texture.
05 - Cover dish with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil and continue baking for 20 to 25 minutes, until golden brown and the center is set.
06 - Let casserole rest for several minutes. Optionally dust with powdered sugar and serve with raspberry jam or additional maple syrup.

# Notes:

01 - For a deeper flavor, allow the casserole to soak overnight in the refrigerator before baking.
