Garlic Pan Shrimp Skillet (Print Version)

Pan-seared shrimp with garlic, lemon, and butter served hot with crusty bread or over pasta.

# Ingredients:

→ Seafood

01 - 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined

→ Aromatics

02 - 5 garlic cloves, thinly sliced

→ Oils and Fats

03 - 3 tablespoons olive oil
04 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

→ Seasonings

05 - 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
06 - 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
07 - 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

→ Accompaniments and Garnishes

08 - 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
09 - Lemon wedges, for serving
10 - 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
11 - 8 ounces crusty bread, sliced

# Steps:

01 - Pat shrimp dry with paper towels and season evenly with salt and black pepper.
02 - Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add thinly sliced garlic and cook, stirring, for 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant and lightly golden; do not burn.
03 - Arrange shrimp in a single layer in the skillet. Sear for 1 to 2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Sprinkle in red pepper flakes and toss to combine.
04 - Reduce heat to low. Add butter, stirring until melted. Drizzle with lemon juice and shower with chopped parsley.
05 - Serve immediately with warm crusty bread and lemon wedges. Use bread to absorb the aromatic oil. This dish may also be enjoyed over cooked pasta or rice.

# Notes:

01 - Prepare all ingredients in advance, as the cooking process moves quickly. Avoid overcooking shrimp to preserve tenderness.
