Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Season steak with salt and pepper, then sear for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare. Remove from skillet and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing thinly against the grain.

Using the same skillet with the steak juices, add the remaining tablespoon of butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn.

Pour in heavy cream, add grated Parmesan, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Stir continuously and simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce slightly thickens and the cheese melts completely.

Add the cooked linguine to the skillet and toss thoroughly to coat with the creamy sauce. Fold in the sliced steak and heat through for another minute. Serve immediately.
