Garlic Butter Steak Noodles (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Pasta

01 - 340g (12 oz) linguine

→ Protein

02 - 450g (1 lb) sirloin steak

→ Sauce

03 - 30g (2 tbsp) butter, divided
04 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
05 - 120ml (1/2 cup) heavy cream
06 - 25g (1/4 cup) Parmesan cheese, freshly grated

→ Seasonings

07 - 1 tsp black pepper
08 - 1/2 tsp salt
09 - 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes

# Instructions:

01 - Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
02 - Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Season steak with salt and pepper, then sear for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare. Remove from skillet and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing thinly against the grain.
03 - Using the same skillet with the steak juices, add the remaining tablespoon of butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn.
04 - Pour in heavy cream, add grated Parmesan, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Stir continuously and simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce slightly thickens and the cheese melts completely.
05 - Add the cooked linguine to the skillet and toss thoroughly to coat with the creamy sauce. Fold in the sliced steak and heat through for another minute. Serve immediately.

# Notes:

01 - For best results, don't overcook the steak - it will continue cooking slightly when added back to the hot pasta.
02 - Reserve a small amount of pasta water before draining to thin the sauce if needed.
