# Ingredients:

→ Seafood

01 - 1 pound fresh lump crab meat

→ Bread

02 - 1 French baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch thick rounds

→ Dairy

03 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter
04 - 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

→ Produce

05 - 4 garlic cloves, minced
06 - 2 tablespoons lemon juice
07 - 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
08 - 2 tablespoons fresh chives, finely chopped

→ Pantry

09 - Salt and ground black pepper, to taste
10 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
11 - 1 teaspoon paprika

# Steps:

01 - For fresh crab, steam for 10 minutes until shells turn bright red. Cool completely and remove meat, ensuring all shell fragments are discarded.
02 - Melt unsalted butter over medium heat in a saucepan. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 to 2 minutes until aromatic without browning.
03 - Combine crab meat, warm garlic butter, lemon juice, parsley, chives, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl. Gently fold to preserve crab texture.
04 - Heat oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet and brush both sides with olive oil.
05 - Bake the bread rounds for 5 to 7 minutes, turning once, until golden brown and crisp.
06 - Spoon the crab mixture onto the toasted bread. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan and dust with paprika if desired. Bake for 5 additional minutes until cheese melts and flavors meld.
07 - Remove from oven and serve warm, garnished with additional parsley or chives as preferred.

# Notes:

01 - Check all crab meat thoroughly for shell pieces before combining with other ingredients.
02 - Serve immediately after baking to maintain the crisp texture of the bread.
