Ground beef, Fritos, cheese, and rice wrapped in soft tortillas for a bold, crunchy bite.

# Ingredients:

→ Filling

01 - 1/2 to 1 pound lean ground beef or ground turkey
02 - 1/2 small onion, diced
03 - 2 to 3 teaspoons taco seasoning
04 - 1/4 to 1/3 cup water
05 - 1/2 to 1 cup cooked white rice (optional)

→ Assembly

06 - 6 large flour tortillas
07 - 1 to 1 1/2 cups nacho cheese sauce or shredded cheddar cheese or shredded Mexican blend cheese
08 - 1 cup Fritos corn chips, more to taste

→ Toppings (optional)

09 - Pico de gallo or diced tomatoes
10 - Sour cream
11 - Refried beans
12 - Sliced jalapeños
13 - Sliced green onions

# Steps:

01 - Cook ground beef or turkey with diced onion in a large skillet over medium heat, stirring until meat is browned and onions are softened. Drain excess fat.
02 - Add taco seasoning and water to the browned meat mixture. Simmer, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens, about 2 to 4 minutes.
03 - Heat flour tortillas in a skillet or microwave until soft and pliable.
04 - Lay one tortilla flat and, if desired, spread a layer of cooked rice or refried beans down the center. Spoon a portion of the seasoned meat mixture over the base.
05 - Top filling with nacho cheese sauce or shredded cheese. Scatter Fritos corn chips over the cheese.
06 - Fold in the sides of the tortilla, then roll up tightly from the bottom to enclose the filling.
07 - Place rolled burritos seam-side down in a skillet or oven and toast briefly until the exterior is lightly crisp, if desired.
08 - Serve burritos warm with your choice of optional toppings, such as pico de gallo, sour cream, jalapeños, or green onions.

# Notes:

01 - For best texture, assemble burritos immediately before serving to prevent the Fritos from becoming soggy.
