01 -
Cook ground beef or turkey with diced onion in a large skillet over medium heat, stirring until meat is browned and onions are softened. Drain excess fat.
02 -
Add taco seasoning and water to the browned meat mixture. Simmer, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens, about 2 to 4 minutes.
03 -
Heat flour tortillas in a skillet or microwave until soft and pliable.
04 -
Lay one tortilla flat and, if desired, spread a layer of cooked rice or refried beans down the center. Spoon a portion of the seasoned meat mixture over the base.
05 -
Top filling with nacho cheese sauce or shredded cheese. Scatter Fritos corn chips over the cheese.
06 -
Fold in the sides of the tortilla, then roll up tightly from the bottom to enclose the filling.
07 -
Place rolled burritos seam-side down in a skillet or oven and toast briefly until the exterior is lightly crisp, if desired.
08 -
Serve burritos warm with your choice of optional toppings, such as pico de gallo, sour cream, jalapeños, or green onions.
