French Onion Chicken Rice Casserole (Print Version)

Chicken, rice, creamy soup, cheese, and fried onions come together in a warm, baked French-inspired dish.

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 cups cooked white rice
02 - 2 cups shredded cooked chicken

03 - 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
04 - 1 can (10.5 oz) French onion soup
05 - 1 cup sour cream
06 - 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

→ Toppings and Seasonings

07 - 1 1/2 cups French fried onions, divided
08 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
09 - 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
10 - Salt, to taste
11 - Black pepper, to taste
12 - Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

# Steps:

01 - Set oven temperature to 350°F (175°C).
02 - In a large bowl, thoroughly mix cooked white rice, shredded cooked chicken, cream of chicken soup, French onion soup, sour cream, shredded mozzarella cheese, 1 cup French fried onions, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
03 - Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and evenly spread the rice and chicken mixture in the prepared dish.
04 - Bake uncovered for 30 minutes or until the edges are bubbly.
05 - Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup French fried onions over the casserole and bake for an additional 5 minutes until golden brown.
06 - Remove from oven, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve hot.
