Preheat oven to 375°F (190°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat, then stir in taco seasoning and 1/4 cup water. Simmer for 5 minutes.

Arrange crescent dough triangles in a circle on the prepared baking sheet, with the wide ends overlapping toward the center and the points angled outward.

Spoon the seasoned beef mixture evenly over the wide ends of the dough. Sprinkle most of the shredded cheese over the meat, reserving a small portion.

Fold each dough point over the filling and tuck the ends securely under the center of the ring.

Transfer to oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until dough is golden brown. Add the reserved cheese over the top during the final 5 minutes of baking.

Remove from oven and let stand for 10 minutes before slicing. Use a pizza cutter for clean, even portions.
