# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
02 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
03 - 1/4 cup granulated sugar
04 - 1/2 teaspoon salt

→ Filling

05 - 3 large eggs
06 - 1 cup light corn syrup
07 - 1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
08 - 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
09 - 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans

# Steps:

01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
02 - Combine all-purpose flour, softened unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and salt in a bowl. Mix until a crumbly texture forms.
03 - Evenly press the crumbly mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan. Bake for 20 minutes or until the surface is lightly golden.
04 - In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, light corn syrup, brown sugar, and vanilla extract. Stir in chopped pecans.
05 - Pour the pecan mixture over the pre-baked crust and spread evenly. Return to the oven and bake for 30 minutes, or until the filling is visibly set.
06 - Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before lifting and cutting into squares for serving.

# Notes:

01 - Chilling the bars yields cleaner slices and minimizes crumbling.
