08 - 1/2 cup whole milk
09 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
10 - Salt, to taste
11 - Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
12 - 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese or cheese blend

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 375°F. Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and set aside.
02 - In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground meat with chopped onion and minced garlic until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
03 - In a large bowl, combine the cooked meat mixture, thinly sliced potatoes, carrots, green beans, cream of mushroom soup, and milk. Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until thoroughly incorporated.
04 - Spread the prepared mixture evenly in the greased baking dish and cover with aluminum foil.
05 - Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, keeping the dish covered.
06 - Remove the foil. Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over the casserole. Return to the oven and bake uncovered for an additional 15 minutes, until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and vegetables are tender.
07 - Allow the casserole to rest for 5 minutes before serving to facilitate easier portioning.

# Notes:

01 - To achieve even cooking, slice potatoes and carrots to a consistent thinness. For extra flavor, use a sharp cheddar or cheese with good melting properties.
