→ Cookie Dough

01 - 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
02 - 1 cup granulated sugar
03 - 1 cup packed brown sugar
04 - 2 large eggs
05 - 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
06 - 3 cups all-purpose flour
07 - 1 teaspoon baking soda
08 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
09 - 1 1/2 cups dried cherries
10 - 1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
02 - In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
03 - Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla extract until fully combined.
04 - In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt until thoroughly combined.
05 - Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined. Do not overmix.
06 - Gently fold in the dried cherries and chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
07 - Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing each about 2 inches apart.
08 - Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden while the centers remain soft.
09 - Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

# Notes:

01 - Using room-temperature butter ensures the cookies have a tender, chewy texture.
