Easy Breakfast Potatoes (Print Version)

Crispy, golden potatoes with herbs and spices for a delicious morning side or brunch staple.

# Ingredients:

→ Produce

01 - 4 russet potatoes, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
02 - 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped or 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley

→ Pantry

03 - 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
04 - 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
05 - 1/4 teaspoon fine salt
06 - 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
07 - 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
08 - 1/4 teaspoon onion powder

# Steps:

01 - Cut the potatoes into even 1/2-inch cubes for uniform cooking.
02 - Set a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the butter with the vegetable oil. Allow the fats to melt together.
03 - Add the cubed potatoes to the skillet, tossing to evenly coat in the butter and oil. Sprinkle the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder over the potatoes.
04 - Cover the skillet and cook for 3 to 4 minutes, letting the potatoes steam slightly to start the cooking process.
05 - Remove the lid and continue to cook, stirring frequently, so the potatoes cook evenly on all sides. Maintain heat until the potatoes are golden and crisp on the outside and tender inside.
06 - Sprinkle chopped parsley over the potatoes and serve immediately while hot.

# Notes:

01 - For extra crisp texture, avoid overcrowding the skillet to prevent steaming instead of browning.
